Ivan,

The GEOS SDK does not come with a compiler. the docs say only
Borland C++ 3.1 is supported. I'm told by Geoworks that 3.0 does
not work (although I've not tried it -- It would be less expensive
to only have to buy Turbo C++ 3.0 for DOS....)

The reason for insisting on BC++3.1 is it supports long identifier
names since the GOC (Geoworks preprocessor) spits out very long
idents. Also, the SWAT debugger knows how to use the Borland symbol
information. I was told the reason MS C++ is not supported is MS would
not provide Geoworks with the symbol information so they could not "teach"
SWAT how to understand MS symbols.

I suppose other compilers may work (besides debugging) but then If you
have a problem Geoworks would say too-bad. :(
