Morning Chuck

I see your Zoomer is slowing down, that's a known fault, and sadly the
only way to correct this is to prerform a soft reset. BUT this doesn't
always go smoothly in one hit. The screen goes blank, then nothing!

You need to turn on again and wait, and wait some more before the SPARK
PLUG program kicks in.

The problem lies in Zoomers inability to free up all memory ofter an app
has been closed, it seems to hang on to a bit. Also it appears some
apps just sit there in memory until you demand all the memory possible
by running a big app like the address book.

I've had the same problem, but have never lost data. I've been using
PamConnect for some while, and recommend it. The supplied lead is much
nicer than the Tandy/Casio modem loead, as this has two ugly chokes
attatched. This is the only way I can backup, or download the beta apps
I'm testing for the author.

I'm starting to test a range of PCMCIA cards next week, and will post my
results.

Cheers Nigel
