When you discuss the Sharp Zoomer I presume you mean the PT-9000. It's
not really comparable to a Zoomer but it's more of what I want in a PDA.
I think the Zoomer is more geared to those used to using products like the
Boss or not computer proficient. The PT-9000 has virtually all the GEOS
applications in it, is about the size of an etch-a-sketch and has a
keyboard. You can also attach a disk drive, printer, etc. And it has
software allowing for direct transfer back to a PC. Since it allows for
HWR as well as the keyboard you have lots of flexibility. Apparently, it
only gets about 20 hours of battery life as compared to 100 for the
Zoomer, but you get a lot heavier use during that time.
