I talked to Palm Computing today, trying to find out why my PalmConnect
order had not arrived.  They said that they're still waiting for serial cables!
Latest expectation is that they'll start shipping on 11/15.  Grrr... not at
Palm -- they were friendly and helpful -- but at whoever isn't getting those
cables made and distributed!

In the meantime, this was posted to comp.os.geos recently.  I haven't
tried it, and would like to if I could find a suitable connector.  If
anyone finds a source for those little connectors, please post!

    ZOOMER SERIAL PORT TO PC CABLE
    1 Ground
    2 Receive
    3 Transmit
    4 Data Terminal Ready
    5 Frame Ground
    6 Data Set Ready (and 10 CD)
    7 Request To Send
    8 Clear To Send
    9 Ring Indicator (no connection)
   10 no connection

    ZOOMER SERIAL PORT TO MODEM CABLE
    1 Ground
    2 Receive
    3 Transmit
    4 Data Terminal Ready
    5 Frame Ground (no connection)
    6 Data Set Ready
    7 Request to Send
    8 Clear To Send
    9 Ring Indicator
   10 Carrier Detect

   Pin 1 is on top and toward the unit bottom end.
   Pin 6 is on the bottom and toward the unit bottom end.
