Just wanted to let everyone know that I got my Zoomer working and I wanted to
share my fix just in case anyone ever had the same problem. Thanks to
everyone who offered a suggestion and especially to Ernie Hood for the
inspiration for something creative to try. I cracked to Zoomer case open and
removed the "cables" (actually the thin plastic that has the wires "printed"
on it) for the screen and digitizer from their sockets, cleaned the contacts,
and reinserted them. The Zoomer started working fine, and the modem acted
like a modem and not like a memory card!! Hope this helps someone else who
might have this problem!!
