This one sounds pretty bad, I assume you've tried the reset switch while
holding both the A + B buttons down. there have been some previous
messages about the digitizer part of the screen separating at the bottom,
perhaps you may need Casio service support...

Try cleaning the contacts for all the batteries, and put in new duracells
again to start with. If the main batteris go down, there's a good chance
you'll put more drain on the backup cell, so perhaps try replacing all
the batteries at once.

Don't know, but I would expect geos to have power saving stuff built in
and dos to just burn cpu cycles, so this might have the opposite
effect of what you're after.
