My Zoomer has revolted!!!

I am having a problem with my Zoomer that has got me stumped and I wanted to
get some advice from the Zoomer experts. My Zoomer has been functioning fine
for about a year now, but in the last week, I have been getting system lock
ups when I turn it on (i.e. the system tries to boot after a hard reset but
hangs up in the "DOS" screen). I have replaced the main batteries and the
backup batteries but this has not alleviated the problem, Out of about 10
atempts, I have only been able to get the thing to boot twice, and when I do,
my digitizer goes funky. By funky, I mean it goes through the normal "time to
set everything up", and I press the pen point to the + marks on the screen,
the top 2 work fine, but to get the screen to recognize my pen presses on the
bottom two, I have to touch the screen at the VERY bottom. If i press right
on the + mark, the Zoomer will ignore me all day long. Naturally, when I set
up the digitizer this way, I have to press the screen about 4/5ths of an inch
below a button to select it. Also, whenever I install my AMT Starcard modem,
it thinks that it is a memory card that needs formatting, I have run out of
ideas and would greatly appreciate any ideas anyne might have.
