I bought the Pretec 4mb ATA Flash card and PCMCIA drive combo you
mentioned. I use the Flash card on my Ogo 100 and it works like a dream.
You shouldn't leave it in all the time, it does use up more energy.
However, I find it works great to leave data/books on the card, and just
move them over to the ogo when I need them. (via BMS File Manager)
I haven't installed the drive yet on my system, so I can't testify on
it.
One tidbit: I always read that the Ogo would recognize any kind of
memory card as Drive C:, but for some reason my ATA Flash is recognized
as Drive E:. I'm not really sure why this is, and it doesn't cause any
problems, except that I got a little spooked when I couldn't get to Drive C:.
