Laplink to SPARC running DOS Windows/SoftPC?

having given up on getting Laplink running on VP/ix (DOS under
[x86] UNIX).

Has anyone tried running Laplink on the DOS Windows software
emulator that Sun ships?

Alternatively, how about Laplink running on SoftPC?

I don't have ready access to a true DOS machine, so I'd like to run
Laplink to a SPARCstation with DOS Windows (which uses Phoenix'
software) or SoftPC; what little experience I have with DOS Windows
doesn't leave me optimistic that Laplink would work ...
