I recently viewed a new release of Microsoft Project
and it had a very nice built-in tutorial. Actually
having the learner working in the real application is what I
would REALLY like to do and I am wondering if it can be done
using MetaCard with our application!
Possibly float a MetaCard "tutorial" window over top of our
application and pass or trap keystrokes to the application
relative to the tutorial that is being conducted. In other
words, control the our application using MC. This would
allow you to script out the right and wrong things that the
learner might do and keep them targeted on the learning
tasks without fear of getting lost or messing things up.
Is anyone doing this? Is it feasible? Is it rocket
science?
I have experimented with doing screen dumps of the app and
investigated the possibility of "simulation" but it certainly
falls short of really running the app.
Any wisdom folks??????
