The LVNA Villager is published in accordance with the following set of principles and policies:

1. Purpose: The purpose of The Villager is (a) to inform the residents of Lakewood Village of news, events, and issues of relevance to the neighborhood, and (b) to provide a forum for residents to express their views in written form.
    
2. Fairness: The Villager will not restrain publication of the views of individuals or groups solely on the basis of disagreement with those views.
    
3. Respect: The Villager will not publish material that attacks an individual or group.
    
4. Propriety: The Villager will not publish material that contains language that is commonly viewed as vulgar or offensive.
    
5. Editorial Prerogative: Final decision of what material is published and how it is edited in The Villager will be at the discretion and judgment of the Editor.
