Also, FYI, I was able to launch ZoomCom from the card with no errors. I
could not fully test it yet as I can't move zcomm to ROM and I don't have a
serial cable yet. I also put my Eiger Labs 14.4 PCMCIA Modem in and it didn't
douse the lights like it does on my Zoomer. Text Editor (shareware)
launched, but it displayed all text as asterisks.
The screen is small and as hard to read as the Zoomers and the setup is not
quite as open. However, its nice and fast. The ability to use the keyboard
will come in handy on occasion. It is sturdy. The apps are OK. Retyping all
my info was good for the soul.
Before I waste my money... I want a cable to use for file transfer and
connection to my modem (for testing). I would assume that the standard HP
cable is a null modem. However, the connector kit accessory mentions modems
several times. Anyone with a recommendation, let me know.
