I have another idea. Instead of an ftp like program, how about a ftpd like
program, say, zftpd.

What I have in mind is the following,

Do

unix> zftpd -port 12345 -speed 19200 -device /dev/cua1

and zftpd will translate LIST STOR RETR etc to zoomer commands.

The advantage of this is that you can use your favorite ftp client and/or
packages using the ftp protocal, such as mirror, ange-ftp (maybe Alex?), to
do your backup etc, just remember to use port 12345 instead of 21 (or 22?).

I think this should be easier to implement then xtoz. I will try to look up
the ftpd source and see if I can find some time to write that.
