Kevin,
It might not be the string, it might be the preference you have chosen. I'm
not sure what a 28.8 modem is capable of (mine's 14.4, 2400 pocket modem on
the road) but you can tweak the geos.ini or net.ini files to reflect your
preferences if the choice you want isn't part of the drop down menu. At any
rate, make sure your modem choice, phone # choice and general preference
choice agree.
