I'm trying to use an external Practical Peripharals 28.8 MT II modem. I
can't seem to find the proper initialization strings. AOL support gave me
two or three different ones to try. They modem dials and connects, but never
passes the handshake phase.

Has anyone been successful with this modem? Please send me the string you
used.
Also I just ordered the 2400 baud modem from Surplus Technologies. Is there
any special string I need to use that. Thanks for any help you can offer.
