I've never had much experience with Radio Shack (other than buying an
audio cable that had an intermittent break in one of the wires... but they happily
refunded my money... :>)

I *have* had major problems with HP... <SIGH>

New Years Eve I trashed my OG by accident (screen got crushed while
it was in my pocket -- at the time I worked at Kragen Auto Parts
lugging cases of oil, so I'm surprised it took me so long to break
the sucker! <G>)...

1/3/96, they pick it up from my mom's work in San Francisco (we live
in San Jose).

8 working days later I call, only to be told it's still pending
evaluation (trying to decide if it's my fault or not...).

Several days later, I call... It's my fault, it'll *probably* cost
$175, but they guy isn't sure. I tell him to send me a quote, he
says that he has made a note under my account to do so, and will
receive a quote shortly.

2/27/96 I call, only to be told that the OmniGo was shipped back on
2/26, to 440 Dunn Ave (I live on 5846 Dunn Ave...)! Unrepaired no
less!

Several days later my mom calls up, and chews them out, demands at
least a *discount* on the repair, and I wind up with a *free*
repair/replace... :)

I'm told I should have the unit back within a couple days. :)

Have fun!
