Summary: At this time getting Warranty Repair/Replacement for your
Zoomer can be a major hassle...or even impossible.

Recently my Zoomer developed a cracked screen. OK, maybe it was still
under extended warranty (it was). Terrific. I go in...it was a little
time consuming verifying I had a warranty but they agreed I did and said
it would be about a week.

Yesterday I got a call. My zoomer was ready! Right on Time! I go in
and they hand it to me (in a bag) and I open it up and there is my
zoomer....with the same cracked screen.

They hadn't opened the bag to see that it was still broken until I
came in. I was a little upset....the salesperson suggested replacing
it with one of those $30 scheduler devices (I am using a $15 one now
while the Zoomer is down...it's OK for what it does).

The manager was a little more helpful. I am the second person looking
to get their Zoomer repaired under warranty right now and, in both cases,
the shop said it was "too expensive to repair". They're looking for a
couple zoomers to replace ours.

This may be going on a LOT. I bought this in a neighborhood called Ballard
famed for Lukefisk festivals and there are TWO zoomers looking for repair.

He said something about maybe having to settle with going to "Incredible
Universe" for "something similar". That may be what I end up doing (depending
on the definition of "similar"....I have lot of time invested in GEOS).

So anyway, that's where we stand now.

It's nice to know that, in an ever changing universe, Radio Shack
service remains a constant.
