Steve,

You almost described my system. I have 3 com ports.

Com1: IRQ 4 (mouse)
Com2: IRQ 3 ( external modem, zoomer)
Com3: IRQ 12 ( internal modem)

Just set the internal modem to whatever IRQ isn't used by the SCSI and/or
sound card.
