Just because Radio Shack might stop carrying a certain modem doesn't mean
that you can't get it anywhere else. The Zoomer uses a standard RS-232 modem
at least at 2400 and 9600 baud. There are probably literally hundereds of
vendors which could supply you with something for the Zoomer.
With the PCMCIA standard being re-evaluated, who knows what might happen in
that field. But, with PC users in the user-base, there is a good chance that
this standard will be supported for a long long time. So, don't worry about
products being cancelled as long as the products adhere to the proper
industry standards.
