Yes, after playing around with it for a long time I found a very nice, and
easy way to have a easy to change background on the Zoomer, I was very
annoyed with the other method: (I used the Geopublish shareware version,
and Zdos (super program!):
- From my Geopublish Evaluation version, I copied over the PREFBG.GEO file,
(this is the GEOS PREFERENCE BACKGROUND FILE) from the \SYSTEM\PREF directory
and copy it to the \GEOWORKS\PRIVDAT\PREF directory.
- Create a directory on the Zoomer called \GEOWORKS\USERDATA\BACKGRND, to this
copy the files from the \USERDATA\BACKGRND under Geopublish, (Brick, Vines,
and Block).
Simple right?
Reboot the zoomer, (select "exit to dos" or "select file transfer" under
filemngr.)
Now when you go into preferences, you have a background preference, since
it came from the geopublish it doesn't fit the screen, no worry, simply
hold the pen at the top left of the box, and move right, to see the other
half.
Choose your background, press OK, select right have of box and select Close.
It works fine on my zoomer, and no need to hassle with all this stuff, By
accident bumped on this. (cool ha), This means you can use any pref. from
geopublish (screen-saver).
Let me know how it works out.
Best Regards
