Tony,
I've looked into unistrokes for GEOS and it is on my backburner
of ideas to try. I've not actively pursued it because I doubt
that most poeple would accept it, but I have given some thought
to it.

If anyone else has any comments on unistrokes post them.
There was a paper published on Unistrokes by a researcher at Xerox PARC.
It is very interesting and I think a good idea, however it is a replacement
alphabet that people would have to learn. Strokes are similar enough to
"real" english letters that I don't think it is hard to learn.
