Subject: Zoomer and GEOS v2.01
Status: RO
Now that the v2.01 upgrade patch for GEOS is available, how will this
affect Zoomer users? Currently, GEOS v2.0 is stored in ROM. If the
patch were small, it could probably wedge itself into the startup and
only take up a small amount of RAM, but this is NOT the case. When you
install the patch on the desktop, the patch (2MB worth) rebuilds a HUGE
number of the existing apps and libraries. Will Zoomer users be able to
upgrade? Can the ROM be replaced? Non-Zoomer owners, but just as
inquiring minds want to know!!!

PS. If you need info on the v2.01 patch for the desktop, e-mail me or
read the newsgroup comp.os.geos!
