Watts are a measure of power, the rate at which battery energy is converted
into heat. Volts is the potential difference, probably as supplied by the
batteries. Amps are the measure of electrical current. Watts can be
calculated by multiplying Volts times Amps, 4.5V times 50mA is 225mW. Sounds
like close but no cigar, unless of course the modem is using Microwatts!
