LAS VEGAS Corporate IS managers mingled with consumers at the Winter
Consumer Electronics Show here last weekend, taking in the latest in
portable and wireless technologies.

At the show, LG Electronics U.S.A. Inc. announced the Goldstar Handy PDA, a
9-ounce device that integrates a cellular phone, one-way pager, fax,
personal organizer, and electronic dictionary, said officials from LG, of
Englewood Cliffs, N.J.

The $625 6-by-2.5-inch pen-based device operates over circuit-switched
cellular AMIPS (Advanced Mobile Phone Service) networks. The Goldstar Handy
is due in the second half of 1996, officials said.

Didn't I read somewhere that Goldstar was making a GEOS-based device? Is
this it?
