According to ClariNet, here's the deal:
- Sharp makes the Newton for Apple, and has their own verion called ExpertPad.
- GEOS won out for the PT-9000 PIA 'cos it saves power.
- The PT-9000 will run for 25 hours on 6 AA's. (This indicates it might have
a more power-hungry CPU than the Zoomer, or a bigger screen)
- It'll be the size of a steno pad, the whole top part will be screen.
- The PT-9000 *might* actually run some of the desktop apps (GeoWrite, GeoFile,
and GeoCalc are mentioned in the ClariNet article, but it might be a gaff).
- Palm Computing is making a connection kit to hook pen and desktop computers
together (for file transfers, I guess).
- The upcoming GEOS/Zoomer developer conference will include a preview of the
PT-9000, and they're going to _raffle off_ three Zoomers! ;)
