Although Zommer-Zoomer IR transfer is limited in distance for the Zoomer
to control a device (i.e. one way communication) its range is much better;
specs say up to 21 feet.

Most devices controlled by IR do not require a high data transfer rate but
when you want to communicate with another Zoomer at 9600bd then things are
a little different.

However, I agree with another person (from Palm??) that this is more of a
novelty then a necessity! We should also remember this is not a "new" idea
there is an app for the HP-95 that does this, and obviously the people who
thought of the Universal Remotes have thought of this. This is not the
break-through idea of the century!!
