I'm pretty attached to my laptop, but that doesn't seem to keep me from
doing a complete disassembly for one reason or another at least once
every two weeks these days :-). All that really matters here is whether
the individual is experienced enough at doing the upgrade to do do it
on mine. Hmmmm, I had been thinking recently how the Zoomer is one of
very few toys I haven't disassembled yet...

OK, Alexander, you've got our attention. How about a message to our
list (pen-geos@lists.grot.com) giving some more specific details on
what hardware mods occur for our US$60 ? Crystal only ? CPU ? To
what clock speed exactly - I was very jealous of the speed when I
saw Grafiti on an Omnigo, can I have 20 Mhz ?
How about insurance ? How about postage & insurance outside the US ?
