Thanks Dean for putting us in the picture . IMHO this is a sad
reflection on HP . I think the Omnigo is a good product - which could
be a *great* product - if it had a few bells & whistles like proper
easy to use communication facilities .

I'll admit I have been salivating over the Zaurus,Newton & Nokia
machines comm. facilities ( not to mention the "Omnigo" 700 ) , and
wishing my humble Ogo could do that .

I hope HP reconsider their action . I have mailed them a complaint and
suggest everyone on this list should do the same .

Regards

Mike Lambert

Hi,

In my last post I had mentioned that I tried the WyndMail email software
on my Ogo and that I was very impressed with its layout.
Well, I also noticed that on WyndMail's web page, there were downloads
available for every other platform except the Omnigo (even the HPLX series
was there).I then decided to email them asking them about the lack of Ogo
support.

This was the response from WyndMail,

Dean,

HP has officially stopped support of the communications aspect of OmniGo.
Accordingly, we have stopped production of the HP OmniGo version of our
software. We will continue to provide tech support, but no new versions
of the software will be released.

Now, I don't have to wonder any more why the Omnigo is lacking basic
communication functionality.

I guess its just left up to the Ogo owners, who seem to be more dedicted to
the Ogo than HP, to develop these communication applications.
