the control key on a PC is equivalent to the Fn key on thwe OmniGo.
But, there really is no reason for you to want to stop the boot-up
process, all that is doing is breaking the bootup (which is in DOS) by
the autoexec.bat file. There isn't much of a point, as the splash
screen stays up, and you can't o much with DOS. If you want to do stuff
with DOS, get a textmode driver.

Fn should work.

You can check out my Omnigo webpage for tips/tricks/info/programs

besides making sure you have the same baud rate selected on the OG and
the computer, I can't think of anything else (besides comm port, etc..)

The serial loopback is just that; you need to have the proper pins
"looped back" to eachother. Just runn the test, and it will fail,
becasue it isn't recieving the signals it is sending (which it would if
the pins were looped back on eachother.

Don't be sorry, this is what the OGO mailing list is here for,
discussing the OmniGo, and answering questions about it :)
