Hi,
Is the modem adaptor that comes with the Adaptor kit a Null adaptor?
I got in the adaptors kit 4 adaptors:
1)5181-6639 - 9 pin male tp 9 pin male.
2)5181-6642 - 9 pin male to 25 pin male . (With only 10 pins connected
and telephone markes on the plastic.)
3) 9 pin male to 25 pin female. (Connects to the printer - has a printer
marked on the plastic.)
4)9 pin female to 25 pin male. (Or opposite- I don't remember- connect s
to my PC to the 2nd seril port in my PC- com2- has a computer marked on
the plastic.)
Now, I was sure that at least one of the connectors is a NULL one, so I
can connect it to the modem directly or serial in the chain.
If they are not a NULL connector, I have to buy one. Bummer, they are $4
in the US and $20 in Belgium. And I only need it to try if it works at
all.
By the way: Did someone got an easy ans simple software to send/recieve
Email working. I saw a lot of hacking thrue DOS and Windmill software,
but it doesn't look like it is worth the hassels.
Thanks,
