archive mail server is out to lunch...

A number of you have sent requests to the xpress-archive mail server recently.
Alas, the server has not been working in a number of months, due to some sort
of sendmail config file esoterica at an upstream site (apple maybe...) which
has caused the mail server to generate bogus reply addresses.

I am in the process of revamping the whole mailing list and archive server
thing, using UNIX listserv 6.0, but it isn't ready just yet. When it is
ready, the archive service should work OK and the mailing list itself will
be improved in a number of ways.

In the meantime, I've included the current archive index below. If you'd like
any of these files mailed to you, please send a request to me directly and
I'll send you the files. Send the request to brian@grot.starconn.com, not
to the whole mailing list please. Also note that replying to this message
will probably cause your reply to go to the whole mailing list.
