1. Reboot from D: Ctrl+Alt+Fn+Del
Then using the Manager program on D:
2. Initialize Hard Disk
3. Format System Hard Disk
4. [optional] To save space on C:
a. Modify the cluster size using a disk editor such
as found in the Norton utilities (this tip from
Sy Ali's memo of 2 may 91)
UL 1 MEG UL 2 MEG
Offset Old --> New Old --> New

b. Reboot again (off a floppy?)
c. Reformat C: again with D:FORMAT C: /S
5. Copy working files back onto C:
6. [optional] To save a little space on C:
a. Put the following line in C:\CONFIG.SYS
shell=D:\COMMAND.COM D:\ /P
b. Delete C:\COMMAND.COM
c. Reboot yet again.
