Drive C, where are you?

Ok. Dumb question #1. Once again I left the Ultralite unplugged for too
long (house repairs this time), and drive C has disappeared. For the
main battery I've got the replacement from NEC (which doesn't always
want to take a charge -- but maybe that's another problem), but I don't
know how to test/replace the smaller battery that maintained drive C.

At the moment D:FORMAT C: chokes, as does Norton Utilities running on
drive A when it tried to read C:.

Suggestions?
