MetaCard 2.1B5 is now (mostly) available from
ftp://ftp.metacard.com/MetaCard/2.1B5. The following engines have
been built for this release: SPARC, SPARCSVR4, HP9K700, IRIS, RS6000,
Linux (ELF), ODT (SCO), and of course WIN32 for Windows 95/NT. The
Alpha and IntelSVR4 engines were scheduled to be part of this release,
but hardware problems will result in a delay of a day or two for the
Alpha engine, and possibly a week for the IntelSVR4 engine. Let us
know if there are other engines that you'd particularly like to test.

There's also a subdirectory of the 2.1B5 directory named "metacon"
that has the first beta-test release of a SuperCard to MetaCard
converter. There are two parts to the converter: the exporter runs
under SuperCard on a Mac, and the importer runs on on any platform
MetaCard runs on. See the README files for details. If you've got a
Mac and any SuperCard projects, we hope you'll be able to take this
package for a spin.

Apologies in advance for sending out two versions of this announcement
(another one will go out to the MetaCard Corporation list this
weekend).
Scott
