This is already on the feature list for MetaCard 2.0 (probably late
this year). For now, it's certainly possible to write scripts that
import and export text in HTML (or RTF or any other) format. The
scripts take a while to run if you have very much text to
import/export, but it's an adequate solution for a once-in-a-while
need.

For example, the MetaCard FAQ now available on our web site
(www.metacard.com) was produced by adding some scripts to the standard
FAQ stack so that it dumps out the text in HTML format, including the
hypertext links from the questions to the answers.

We also have a stack that dumps out the contents of a stack to an RTF
format file (for import into Microsoft Word). It's not very polished,
but if anyone wants it, just ask.
