Two things may be wrong:
1) The scaling is pretty conservative on HPs, so I'd recommend setting
the loudness to 100 for starters or you may not hear anything.
Unless you're using headphones, values below 80 will probably be
inaudible.
2) The 1.4B1 engine uses /dev/audio interface (1.3 used the Aserver
library). If you've been using MPower, you may need to reboot your
system before it will work right.
We haven't received any reports of audio problems with 1.3 on HPs
(other than the fact that shell doesn't work after playing an
audioClip), so it may just be your machine. Does
/usr/audio/bin/audio_editor work OK?
