I did get the File Manager, and the Z Text Editor to work. As I recall, this
is what I did...
For File Manager, I got it to launch without a PC card. Of course, a PC
card is required for the transfer. Zmanager.geo was transfered to
b:\geoworks\world. The only catch was that the zoomer's shell.geo file had
to be in the b:\geoworks\system directory as well. This is easier said than
done since shell.geo is also in the OG's ROM and a file error won't allow the
transfer. So I did the following:
1) copy shell.geo to your PC card
2) rename it swell.geo
3) copy it to your OG's B:\geoworks\system directory
4) then rename the file with a rename.bat file:
- REN SWELL_GE.000 SHELL.GEO
- this .bat file must be temporarily in the
B:\geoworks\system directory
- then run rename.bat by double launching it from File
Manager
I don't know if this tweek interfered with other OG programs. So do this
only at your own risk!!!
To get the Z Text editor to work without displaying only asterisks...
1) texted.geo must be on the c:\geoworks\world
2) bison.fnt must be on the c:\geoworks\userdata\font
I did get the desk text editor to work, with all it's font features, but I
now forget how.
