I'm looking at purchasing a Zoomer, but it has a flaw; the scaling of
the screen to the pen on this unit seems to be off. At the top of the
screen, the cursor appears directly under the pointer. As you move
the pen downwards, the cursor moves upwards with respect to the pen;
when you get to the bottom of the screen, the cursor is approx. 1/4"
above the pen tip. It's so bad you can't calibrate the touchpad
correctly; the little touch points in the calibration screen aren't
big enough. If you want to even get past the calibration screen, you
have to touch about 1/4" or so below the lower touchpoints.
My question is this: is this a hardware flaw, or something that's
software related and I can repair myself? If it's hardware, how much
can I expect to pay to fix it?
I've tried the reset button in the back of the unit, but not the
A-B-Reset. Would that make a difference?
Thanks a lot,
--srj I used to be lost in the shuffle. Now I just shuffle
