There are a couple of ways that I use.
1) if you write fast enough tap twice after finishing the letter before the
period.
If that doesn't work (you have to be pretty quick to do that step because the
pda starts translating pretty fast even in expert mode) try this..
2) make a backwards minus sign connected to a forwards minus sign, lift the pen
and do it again. it's sorta of like making a less than sign but not quite as
open as one.
