The CASIO PA-100A:
8086 CPU for system management and a 32-bit RISC chip dedicated to handwriting
recognition. 2 MB of RAM. Configuration with additional 2 or 4 MB of Flash.
One type II
PC-Card, 3 pin serial RS-232 and optical I/F with speeds up to 2 Mbps. Size is
5" x
3 1/2" x 3/4" (just like a pack of a 100 or so 3x5 cards). Only a 4 gray scale
screen but
you can rotate it 90 or 180 degrees. It does have a screen cover that flips out
of the way. Weight is 3/4 pound and runs on 4 AAA batteries. The docking
station allows stacking
and is SCSI. Other options: Pen type bar code reader, modem and memory PC-Cards.
