You are doing something wrong -- I have three SRAM cards with books on them
for Book Reader and they all work fine. Let's take an example:

I have The Raven that I downloaded from AOL. The book file (The Raven) can
go anywhere, but I put it in C:\GEOWORKS\DOCUMENT (must be in uppercase).
The content file (the raven) must go in C:\GEOWORKS\USERDATA\BOOK (actually,
it can go on any drive, but it must be in this directory).

I bring up Book Reader and open The Raven and it works.

Now, do you have Book Reader working properly? I have Book Reader on my SRAM
cards to save space on B:. Put Book Reader in C:\GEOWORKS\WORLD (or wherever
you like). Book Reader Library must go in C:\GEOWORKS\SYSTEM (again, on any
drive you wish).
