What bothered me was not the details of the ad - I agree that that's an
appropiate use of the list - but the regular updates. For a couple of
days, every time I logged on I saw new email from Patrick along the
lines of "2 more people have bought zoomers - get 'em while they're
hot!". I was worried that this would continue indefinitely.
But now a lot more noise has been generated by my criticism than by the
original spam, and I really feel obligated to apologise for that
message, this message, and the other messages in the thread. Further
correspondence on the subject is directed to /dev/null.
