How do you read the Digest files?

I hate to ask real stupid questions, but could someone tell me how I read the
Zoomer digest files on the ftp://ftp.biostat.washington.edu/pub/zoomer site.
Apparently they are not in ASCII or any known form to my word processors.

Thanks for the help and sorry to ask stupid questions. I'm new at this.
