5^2 = 24

I recently acquired a Tandy Z-PDA. I ran across something
interesting while running the demo apps distributed with
IZL 1.0. The exp function (x^y) in the CALC.IZL program
produces 5^2 = 24. The code for this function is
straightforward: z = x^y; Some evaluated expressions
are correct, for example, 8^2 does yield 64. I moved the
IZL 1.0 interpreter and CALC routine to my pc using Palm
Connect where 5^2 did equal 25. Any ideas or comments?
A problem with the math library perhaps?

Thanks ... Bill
