VM Programming Question

I have a question for the Geos programmers out there.
I am trying to write an application for the zoomer, but if
I use any of the Virtual Memory functions, like VMOpen,
I get the error that my program is not compatible with the
version of the OS on my Zoomer. Is it true that I can not use
any VM functions or am I doing something wrong? It works fine
on the Zoomer emulation on my target machine. I would
appreciate any advice.
