Hi all, I was helping a friend to install Graffiti, and then showing him
how to use ZDos, when we ran into a problem.
First, a little about his PC- it's a 486 sx, to which he has added a math
coprocessor, 4 meg of ram, a 14,4 modem on his riser card, and he runs
Norton Utilities.
We used my null modem cable, which I've never had a problem with.
We had a good connection, the Zoomer's preferences were set right, and the
PC's comm2 was set at 19200 also.
We tried to run Graffiti Install from the Norton Desktop, it ran, but it
couldn't locate the PDA. Then we exited to dos, switched to A:, and it ran,
but to me, it seemed slow.
After that was done, I tried to run ZDos, but it wouldn't go. I tried another
copy of ZDos, in case I'd somehow corrupted the first, but no connection.
I put my Zoomer on the cable, but still no connection.
The only thing we didn't try that I can think of, would be to put ZDos.com
in the Dos dir, and disable Windows from loading at boot.
Anyone have any ideas?
TIA
