I paid $299 for mine also. I think the Casio versions are about $50 more.
There's a sharewre program called ZDOS that will handle transfers to the
pc very nicely. It's small, fast and easy to use.
There's also a program called Palm connect that will let you duplicate
the Zoomer apps on your pc. I found it to be a bit of a monster but other
people use it and like it. I think I paid $39 for my copy from Tandy.
As for better, you can find other devices used for about the same price as
this one but it's a lot less than any of the other new ones.
I hadn't heard that rumor about Bill Gates becoming a wrestler. Hmm.
