This is why I like using a modified version of Expert+ mode. By allowing
you to terminate (close) apps, the state files go away. The time it
takes to restart an app is no greater than the native mode. This was one
of my biggest complaints about the native mode. Flip among several apps,
and in no time a bunch of state files appear that typically won't go away
without a soft boot.

I think the problems stem mostly from inadequate memory space or
improperly configured GEOS.INI or NET.INI.

I keep ALL my document files on C:. That way, if I have to do a reset, I
will always have access to them. Of course, I should be backing up to my
desktop more often, but...
