I'm concerned about that. Do you include such software as Zdos among the
things that can void someone's warranty?
I bought Palm connect and installed it. It won't work on my system
but I forget the reason. It's been a while. It wasn't a compatibily
problem, but a configuration issue. I would have had to change my
configuration to make it work with my mouse and I wasn't willing to do
that. I was able to run the program with the keyboard so I know a little
bit about it.
First, Palm Connect is huge. It's very non-intuitive. It is extremely
clumsy to use with the keyboard, even though I do windows stuff with the
keyboard a lot. In fact, it won't do anything involving communications
without the mouse. Very much violating the Microsoft standard.
I downloaded zdos and tried it. It worked perfectly the first time and
every time since. Using it is trivial. I made a simple batch file and
all I have to do is connect the zoomer, put it in file transfer mode,
and type zsend filename. Bang! It's done. And it's free.
Now, I work for a company, too. When I'm working for them I do the work
pretty much their way. And when I find something that will provide a
better service for our customers, I investigate it, present it, maybe
even promote it. I hope you'll do the same. You're making a poor
reccomendation for your company when there is something better available.
