Isn't that dirty pool? You just found out that someone is required by
their employer not to reccomend certain things and she went out of her
way to help you and MAYBE skirted that rule in order to help you. And
when you find out it's not something she's supposed to do, you not only
use it against her, you publish the fact, knowing you might be getting
her in trouble for helping you!

I was in agreement with the position of your letter also. But I think
you've just abandoned the ethical high ground. She was doing her job
and I'll bet you would do pretty much the same thing.
